They say age is just a number — and I’m living
proof. I’m 66, I love my gym sessions, I love my style, and I believe in taking
the right supplements to keep my energy high and my body in top form.
So here’s my little formula:
Go to the gym → Break a bone → Take your supplements → Heal faster → Go back
to the gym.
Yes, that’s me Jean ! Recently, I managed to displace my
wrist by 2mm (ouch!) but that didn’t stop me from staying stylish. I have
splints in red, blue, black, and natural — because why wouldn’t you
coordinate them with your outfits? Even if the situation was annoying (and
could totally have been avoided), you might as well look good, right?
I’ve been loving Reformer Pilates with Soodabeh in West Bridgford. One day, we tried a new movement: facing backwards
on the carriage, balancing on a block, feet on the headrest. Sounds
complicated? It was!
I was determined to build my upper body strength and improve my balance, so I
gave it my all… until the very last moment when I lost it and tumbled to
the floor.
The instructor was wonderful — she looked
after me while I sat with an ice pack through the rest of the class
After class, I went straight to Angels Twelve, where Claire checked me over and advised an X-ray.
Several hours later at the walk-in centre, I was given a splint and told to come back to the fracture clinic six days later.
Supplements
to the Rescue Here’s where my “life hack” kicks in. Our
Yotsuba distributors recommended a recovery protocol immediately. I refused
a plaster cast and decided to keep the splint while doubling up on:
- NAG
- Omega3
- Royal
Collagen Jelly
At my next appointment, the consultant was shocked
at how quickly my wrist had healed — especially for my age.
No physio needed. No weeks of plaster. I was
using my wrist almost normally again within five weeks
I’m convinced the supplements made the
difference — not just in healing my wrist, but in keeping me strong, energised,
and active.
So here’s my advice: take care of your body
before, during, and after life’s little accidents. Keep moving, keep
smiling, and never forget to match your accessories (yes, even your splint!) to
your outfit.
Thank you, Yotsuba, for keeping me in the gym
— and in style.
